Safeguard the Children
Welcome! The Los Angeles Archdiocese Office of Safeguard the Children provides ongoing support, education, training and resources to help prevent child sexual abuse and to address children's safety in our parishes, schools, homes, and communities.
Holy Redeemer-St. James the Less parish Safeguard the Children Committee has been in existence for 20 years with members ranging in background and profession to provide a diverse outlook and approach to ensuring our children's safety is a priority in our parish community. The committee also consists of our Pastor and parish leaders of Religious Education, School and Youth Ministry.

Empowering God's Children
The job of ensuring children's safety is a challenging undertaking. The prevention of child sexual abuse or abuse that may cause them harm, requires us giving our children the tools they need to overcome the advances of someone who intends to do them harm. The Empowering God's Children Safety program is a vehicle which parents, teachers, catechists and youth ministers give children and teens the tools they need to protect themselves.
